A Chinese Restaurant in Montana?? Was definitely skeptical. We took a chance after reading the Yelp reviews and pleasantly surprised. The place was busy with people waiting to be seated and to pick up carry out. We got seated pretty quickly and the service was pretty efficient. The food was great and the portions were just right. If you are looking for a change from the usual burger and pizza places littering the area, look no further.

This is your run-of-the-mill American Chinese food. The sweet and (not) sour pork had too much breading and was covered with sweet gloppy sauce with a few bits of pineapple. There was no red or green peppers and white onions. The Kung pao chicken at least had more vegetables but we ordered hot and it was almost too hot to eat. Definitely order the medium unless you like your food really hot. Skip the appetizer plate and just order the egg rolls. I'm not sure in what kooky contest this place got best chef award. Based on the reviews I assume there are a lot of diners who like this type of food but Maybe a nightly special of an authentic Chinese dish would be nice and I'm sure the best chef knows how to cook it.

Visitors to Glacier national park my group of three hungry guys decided we needed a change from the standard bar grill American fare that's featured near the park and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately it was a big mistake. We arrived around 8 pm and the place was packed, we figured we found a good local place. We were greeted promptly and given a table. It took several minutes before we were given menus. After getting menus that included a lot of non Chinese like hamburgers, chicken soup, and steaks we placed our order. After this things went way down hill. Our salads and appetizers arrived but no silverware was provided. We had to flag down staff for this and drink refills. This person seemed offended we bothered them even though our own waitress was no where to be seen. Fast forward to now 9:15 PM. No contact for the staff check on drinks, etc and worst of all no food. Three tables around us who were sat before us had there food. One couple who was right behind us in line was paying there check and still no food for us. Around 9:25 pm the food arrived, it was warm at best and in some of the dishes cold. Was it just sitting back there the entire time and someone made a mistake? This was not explained or apologized for by the staff. Let's talk food quality, one order of Sesame chicken that was poorly seasoned, read the recipes online folks they are better then this. Too much soy sauce and its missing sugar and vinegar for bite. Our order of lo-mein was dried pasta used for spaghetti, not actual fresh lo mein. A beef stir fry dish was cold and that guy reported gastrointestinal issues less then an hour after eating. Food quality aside there was obviously miscommunication in the kitchen. Did our food set out for close to an hour before wait staff noticed it was ready?? Also we experienced some random guest exhibiting weird behavior when arrived. A guest was taking photos of all the photos on the wall, he seemed handicapped in same way but when we took our table he was directly behind me taking photos and made me uncomfortable. While waiting to get the food another character came through the restaurant barefoot looking hostile at the other patrons with a bruse on his eye. He left the bathroom and walked into the attached casino. No idea what the story is here but restaurant management have addressed this. I guess since we were bored waiting over 90 minutes for our cold food we started to notice random things. I'm never one to write a bad review without reason and we had a bad one here. I did not expect high quality Asia food in this area but the service and food quality for a restaurant last rated top in this county for Asian food was terrible. They need to get their act together.

We ordered take out from this location. They do not have a readable menu online, so had to order when we arrived. The wonton soup was a red color, not good flavor. The eggrolls were good. We ordered a chicken and a pork dish, which had very little meat and not very good sauces. Will try somewhere else next time.

My husband and I both love Asian food our favorite till today was the 10 year "Best Chinese Restaurant" in Sarasota Florida. This restaurant is even better. I had "Cashew Chicken Stir Fry" which was simply outrageous. My husband had the "Lemmon Chicken Stir Fry". It too was delicious. Both meals came with steamed white rice or mixed rice ( the equivalent to a fried rice ). I wish this restaurant was back in Florida. I encourage all Asian food lovers to try this restaurant.

Not great, but not without merit. The won ton soup dumplings had a strange filling that was a complete mystery. Other dishes ordered were "okay", relying too heavily on sugar. On a positive note, the veges were fresh and crunchy and service attentive. It'll do in a pinch :0P

Mediocre Chinese food. Did not expect much, did not dissapoint. They do both Asian food and burgers. Please note that I am a picky Chinese food person.

After our car broke down and was dropped off at a local mechanic's, my boyfriend and I were exhausted and decided to try Tien's Place for dinner after eating camp food for the past 3 days. The service was great and our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We both had the tomato crab bisque (soup of the day) and spring rolls, and they were AWESOME. Ordered mozzarella sticks and they were pretty good. My boyfriend had the Tien's Place and I had Moe's special. You get an obscene amount of food for the price, so it's pretty worth it if you're hungry. Would recommend!

Nice people and good service, but all of their dishes tast the same. Huge amount of vegetables and almost no meat with a sauce over it.

Love this place, best oriental food in the valley. Sweet and sour chicken is the best. The wildcat was great.

TGIFIT - Thank God I Found It! And, gosh darn, another place that gets what good service is all about... I'm starting to wonder if this is true for all of Montana? The food was served quickly, was hot, fresh and loaded with flavor. The wonton soup was very good with a unique pleasing flavor. Our entrees were not greasy or bland but seemed crisp and colorful.

Awsome Chinese food from great people. I love to spend my money at places that give so much back to our community. Possibly the highest quality asian food in the valley, and the chef sends out food that is amazing, no soggy breading or bread balls with no meat!

I had heard good things about Tien's. We decided to grab dinner there. We were hoping to "beat the heat" and enjoy some AC while we ate. Their AC was working poorly. We were able to sit under a fan, but the restaurant was very warm. We both ordered Mongolian Beef (Hot) with combination (fried) rice. The Good: *Service was good, drinks were refilled quickly, the bill came without delay. *The portion size was fairly large, and seemed like a good amount for the money. *The combo rice was pretty good, and they brought more without charging. *They offered to remake my dish when I had an issue with it. The Bad: *The carpet was dirty, the booths had tape on the seats, and it was rather rundown, *My Mongolian Beef was swimming in celery. I don't believe that any traditional recipe for this dish would include celery. I pointed this out, and was told that is how they always make it. I might be wrong, but I do not believe the description on the menu mentioned it. They did offer to make the dish for me again. I did not want to do this as my dining companion was already eating, the place was overly warm, and I did not want to hang around. But, I really, really appreciate that they did offer to do this.

I am guessing the kitchen staff was having a horrible day since all of the other reviews were 4 or 5 stars. While the wait staff was very friendly and prompt, my combination rice and sesame beef was the worst Chinese food meal that I have ever consumed. I will never return.

Tien's Place, is great for a fine dining experience with Oriental food. It is family friendly and their meals are great! The Almond Chicken is to die for, and their combination rice is fantastic as well. They have soda's, hot tea, and even a wine selection to chose from as well. The staff is friendly and helpful as well.

A close friend of mine recommended Tien's. Although my girlfriend didn't like the Hot and Sour Soup I loved it. The Asian Chicken Peanut Salad was tasty ;Sweet and Sour chicken was very good. Every Asian restaurant has a different spin on the cuisine. Tien has done an excellent job.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
